SUMMARY:Reproducible Research with Python 1: Core Concepts and Data Types
DESCRIPTION:Have you always wanted to learn program but never had the 
 chance? This workshop series is your opportunity to get acquainted with the 
 basics of Python and learn how it can be used for reproducible research. 
 Sessions will provide guided instruction on key concepts where you can hone 
 your coding skills and receive resources to continue your independent 
 learning. \n\nThis series is held in partnership with UK’s Center for 
 Computational Sciences. Lessons will be hosted via CCS’s high-performance 
 computing cluster\, and along the way participants will learn more about 
 CCS’s resources and how to access them.\n\nIn this first workshop\, 
 participants will learn the basics of working in Python\, including writing 
 code in Jupyter notebooks\, variables\, expressions\, operators\, and 
 essential data types. No prior coding experience is necessary.\n\nPlease 
 note the following requirements:\n\n\n	You will need an active linkblue ID 
 to participate in this workshop.\n	You will need to bring your own laptop 
 (Mac or Windows is fine) to participate in this workshop.\n	Registration 
 for this workshop will close 24 hours before the event to allow time to 
 create accounts for participants. \n
