2022 Earle C. Clements Lecture featuring Mara Liasson

Join UK Libraries in welcoming national political correspondent and analyst Mara Liasson for the 2022 Earle C. Clements Lecture-Symposium.

As one of the nation's most experienced journalists, Liasson presents an insider's perspective on the changing face of American Politics, in her eye-opening presentation, "The State of Play in the Nation's Capital."

For almost 30 years, Liasson has worked with the National Public Radio. She is also a political analyst for FOX News and a regular panelist on Special Report with Bret Baier and FOX News Sunday.

The 2022 Earle C. Clements Lecture-Symposium will take place Thursday, September 15 in the Worsham Cinema in the Gatton Student Center.

Those interested in attending may RSVP for this event, which is free and open to the public.

Funded by the Clements Memorial Fund, the annual Earle C. Clements Lecture-Symposium is designed to share the legacy of Earle C. Clements, who served as a governor and U.S. representative for Kentucky and as a close colleague to then Senate Majority Leader Lyndon Baines Johnson. Each year, the Clements Lecture-Symposium welcomes renowned intellectuals and scholars in the areas of public policy and government.

A gift from the Abell family, Bess Clements Abell, Clements' daughter; her husband Tyler Abell; and their sons Lyndon and Dan Abell, the Clements Memorial Fund builds on the Abells' philanthropic legacy supporting public service in Kentucky.
