Join us for a talk by Melissa Helton from the Hindman Settlement School, editor of Troublesome Rising: A Thousand Year Flood in Eastern Kentucky

Helton will discuss the impact of the 2022 flood and discuss the role of humanities in the study of natural disasters and water in Appalachia.

The talk is co-sponsored by the UK Appalachian Center and the Gaines Center for the Humanities through the Appalachian Water Humanities Cooperative.
