The Therapeutic Impact of Animal Assisted Interventions Online

NOTE: This workshop will be a hybrid event.

In this workshop, we’ll explore the term “therapy animal,” which refers to specially trained animals that provide physical, psychological, and emotional benefits to those they interact with. We’ll discuss how therapy animals and their handlers are trained to ensure safe and effective interactions, as well as the growing use of animals in professional settings like mental health, education, and medicine. We'll touch on frequently asked questions about animal-assisted therapy and review the latest research on the human-animal bond and its impact on well-being.
