Celebrating International Open Access Week

Celebrating International Open Access Week

Join University of Kentucky Libraries in celebrating International Open Access Week (Oct. 21-27)!

UK students, faculty, and staff are invited to attend our free drop-in event to learn about UK Libraries' open access resources and enjoy some free snacks and hot apple cider. The event will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 23 in the lobby of William T. Young Library from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm.

Stop by to meet your open access librarians and learn more about accessing open datasets, sharing your research through UKnowledge, and reducing costs for your classes using open educational resources (OER), including the OER Grant Program.

Open Access materials -- including articles, books, and datasets -- are digital, online, free of charge, and free of most copyright and licensing restrictions. UK Libraries provides a number of open access resources to help reduce textbook costs and make scholarship and research findings available to global audiences.
