King Library Press Wayzgoose (Open House)

Join UK Libraries’ King Library Press for a day of live print demonstrations, free snacks, and handmade book art!

The annual King Library Press Wayzgoose (Open House) will take place from 10am to 2pm on Thursday, September 12 on the Veranda between the Special Collections Research Center and the Fine Arts & Design Library. The event is free and open to the public.

You can become a printing pro! Ask about apprenticeships and volunteer opportunities available to students and community members.

Founded in 1956, the King Library Press is among the longest-running presses on a college campus. Devoted to the tradition of fine printing, the Press produces books and broadsides and conducts every aspect of the publishing process by hand, from typesetting and printing to decorative paper design and book binding.

The Press also hosts seminars and workshops each year welcoming prominent book artists from across the country
