King Library Press Wayzgoose Event

King Library Press Wayzgoose Event

Join UK Libraries' King Library Press for a day of live print demonstrations, free snacks, and handmade book art.

The King Library Press Wayzgoose (Open House) will take place Thursday, September 21 on the Veranda between the Special Collections Research Center and the Fine Arts Library. This event is free and open to the public.

Founded in 1956, the King Library Press is among the longest-running presses on a college campus. Devoted to the tradition of fine printing, the Press produces books and broadsides and conducts every aspect of the publishing process by hand, from typesetting and printing to decorative paper design and book binding.

The Press also offers apprenticeships to students and community members and hosts several lectures and workshops each year welcoming prominent book artists from across the country.
