King Library Press Book Arts Weekend with Brooke Palmieri

Join University of Kentucky Libraries' King Library Press for the Spring 2023 Book Arts Weekend with artist, writer, and founder of Camp Books Brooke Palmieri.

Palmieri will kick off the weekend on Friday evening with the free public lecture, "Queer Archival Collateral" in the Great Hall of Margaret I. King Library, with light refreshments to follow. To attend the lecture remotely, register at bit.ly/KLP-Spring2023-Lecture.

On Saturday morning, Palmieri will join King Library Press Director Dr. Paul Holbrook to host a nature printing workshop, "The Body is a Manifesto," at the King Library Press.

The cost to attend the workshop is $45 per person ($25 for students). Workshop space is limited and requires reservation. Contact Dr. Paul Holbrook at (859) 608-9623 for more information or to reserve a space. 


In addition to their work with Camp Books, a publishing and bookselling platform specializing in the history of LGBTQ* and gender non-conforming people, Brooke Palmieri is a former editor for the Journal for the American Printing History Association and works as a freelance Rare Book cataloguer and consultant.
