Data Rescue Workshop
You're invited to participate in an upcoming in-person Data Rescue Workshop hosted by UK Libraries' Digital Scholarship & Data team. This hands-on event is designed to empower attendees with the skills to identify, capture, and preserve federal datasets that may be vulnerable to deletion or alteration.
No prior experience is necessary—everyone is welcome! Whether you choose to work from a curated list of datasets or bring your own, there are tasks suited to all skill levels. Participants will contribute to meaningful efforts such as:
- Exploring federal websites to locate at-risk datasets
- Downloading data using manual or automated methods
- Consolidating, uploading, and documenting datasets for long-term access
Bring your own device and come ready to collaborate, learn, and make a difference in safeguarding public data.
The Stacks is located on the ground floor of the King Library Annex. The entrance is on the south side of the building. The King Library Building is located in the central campus, south of Patterson Drive and west of Rose Street, between the Lucille Caudill Little Fine Arts Library and Pence Hall.
